Terms of Service
Effective date: 12 May 2026
These Terms govern access to StudentSlot, a scheduling and term-management service for private tutors, students, and parents. StudentSlot is operated by LONUT (UEN 53462899X). By using StudentSlot, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service
StudentSlot helps tutors manage students, terms, lesson schedules, parent access links, rescheduling, emails, and payment records. StudentSlot does not provide tuition, collect tuition fees for tutors, guarantee lesson attendance, or act as a school, agency, payment provider, or dispute-resolution body.
2. Accounts and Access Links
Tutors access the service through email-based sign-in. Parents and students may access schedules through reusable links sent to authorised email addresses. You are responsible for keeping your email account and any access links secure. If a link is forwarded, anyone with that link may be able to access the related schedule until the link expires or is revoked.
3. Tutor Responsibilities
- Keep student, parent, schedule, fee, and policy information accurate and up to date.
- Obtain any consents needed before entering another person's personal data into StudentSlot.
- Set rescheduling, payment, cancellation, and make-up lesson policies that match your own tuition practice.
- Handle parent and student communications, disputes, refunds, and exceptional cases directly.
- Use StudentSlot only for lawful tuition administration and related scheduling purposes.
4. Parent and Student Responsibilities
Parents and students should check lesson details before confirming reschedules and should contact the tutor directly if anything looks wrong. StudentSlot records scheduling changes but does not decide whether a reschedule, fee, refund, or cancellation is fair in a particular case.
5. Emails and Notifications
StudentSlot may send login links, schedule links, lesson reminders, payment reminders, reschedule confirmations, and other service-related emails. Email delivery is not guaranteed. Users should not rely on StudentSlot as the only way to communicate urgent lesson changes.
6. Fees and Payments
Payment tracking inside StudentSlot is a record-keeping tool. Unless a separate online payment feature is expressly enabled, StudentSlot does not process parent payments, hold money, verify whether payment has been made, or guarantee collection of any amount.
7. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep StudentSlot available, but the service may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, provider issues, security work, or changes to the product. We may add, remove, suspend, or modify features at any time.
8. Acceptable Use
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe the service is being misused, used unlawfully, used to send abusive content, or used in a way that risks harm to other users or the service.
9. Confidentiality and Data
Tutors and parents should treat schedules, contact details, student details, and payment information as confidential. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. No Professional Advice
StudentSlot is administrative software. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, employment, child-safety, or educational advice. You should obtain your own advice where needed.
11. Disclaimers
StudentSlot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free operation.
You acknowledge that internet services, cloud providers, email systems, browsers, and user devices can never be made completely secure or error-free. StudentSlot does not warrant that personal data, schedules, links, emails, or records will be immune from unauthorised access, loss, corruption, delay, misdelivery, or disclosure.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, StudentSlot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, lessons, or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or SGD 100 if no amount was paid.
This limitation applies whether the claim arises in contract, tort including negligence, statute, equity, strict liability, or otherwise, and whether it relates to security incidents, data leaks, unauthorised access, service interruption, emails, links, scheduling errors, user-entered data, or third-party providers. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under Singapore law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of StudentSlot, your breach of these Terms, your unlawful handling of personal data, or disputes between tutors, parents, students, or other third parties.
Tutors also indemnify us against claims arising from personal data they enter into StudentSlot, including claims that they lacked authority or consent to provide that data, entered inaccurate data, sent links to the wrong person, or used StudentSlot contrary to their own obligations to parents, students, or regulators.
14. Termination
You may stop using StudentSlot at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if required for security, legal, operational, or misuse reasons. After termination, we may retain or delete data according to the Privacy Policy and our legal or operational requirements.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or StudentSlot.
